Grandma's Homemade Creamed Corn: Simple & Tasty!

This is my grandma's easy and simple creamed corn recipe that my family has used for decades! I hope ya'll enjoy!

Ingredients:

8 Ears of Sweet Corn

1 Teaspoon of Salt

1/3 Cup of Salted Butter

1 Cup of Water

2 Tablespoons of Sugar

Thickening Ingredients:

2 Tablespoons of Flour

1/2 Cup of Water

Directions:

Prepare you ears of corn by shucking the ears and removing the corn's silk. Wash and rinse each of the ears off.

Once all of the ears of corn are rinsed off, cut the kernels of corn off of the cob and scrape the cob to get the extra juices.

In a saucepan, place the corn along with 1 cup of water, 1 teaspoon of salt and 2 tablespoons of sugar and mix well. Bring the corn mixture to a boil and cook on medium heat for about 10 minutes (stirring often).

While you are stirring the corn mixture, combine the 2 tablespoons of flour and 1/2 cup of water and stir. Pour the flour and water mixture into the corn and stir until the corn mixture is thick.

Add the butter into the creamed corn mixture and stir well until the butter is melted.

Turn the heat off and remove the creamed corn from the stove, cover and keep warm until it is time to serve.
