Copycat Waffle House Waffle Recipe: Easy and Delightful!

Ingredients:

1 Teaspoon of Salt

1 1/2 Cups of All-Purpose Flour

1 Egg

1/2 Teaspoon of Baking Soda

1/2 Cup of Sugar (plus 1 Tablespoon of Sugar for later use)

2 Tablespoons of Salted Butter

2 Tablespoon of Oil

1/2 Cup of Half and Half

1/2 Cup of Milk

1/4 Cup of Buttermilk

1/4 Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract

Directions:

In a bowl, combine your flour, baking soda and salt. Stir and mix all of the ingredients together.

Gently beat the egg in another bowl and once the egg is beaten add your sugar, oil and butter. Mix all of the ingredients together well until the mixture is smooth. Add in half and half, buttermilk, milk and vanilla extract. Mix all of the ingredients again well.

Add the wet waffle mixture and the dry waffle mixture together. Mix the two batters together briefly but do not over beat the batter. Over beating the mixture could cause the waffles to become tough.

Cover the batter in the bowl with a lid or plastic wrap and chill the batter overnight in the fridge.

Spray a light coating of non-stick cooking spray on your waffle iron and preheat your waffle iron. Take the batter out of the fridge to let the batter begin to get to come to room temperature while the waffle iron is heating up.

Spoon 1/2 cup of waffle batter onto the sprayed waffle iron and cook for around 4 minutes or until the waffle becomes brown.

This recipe makes 6 waffles.
