The Pearl River County SPCA and Greater Picayune Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday to mark the opening of the expanded HOPE Thrift Store at 245 Frontage Rd. The new building spans 3,750 square feet.

HOPE Thrift Store initially opened in September 2023 at 601 W Canal. Following its success, a second location was added at 114 Elizabeth St in January 2024. The new, larger space consolidates both stores, providing more room for inventory and customers.

All proceeds from the store benefit the Pearl River County SPCA, supporting the care and shelter of homeless animals. The store has been volunteer-run since its inception, but the expansion and increased hours have led to hiring part-time staff to manage the growth.
