Continuing our series on local economic development, P3 is proud to highlight WillowWood, a pioneering prosthetics company located in the heart of Pickaway County.

Employing 180 dedicated professionals, WillowWood supplies cutting-edge prosthetic solutions to amputees worldwide. This year alone, WillowWood is on track to produce 90,000 prosthetics.

WillowWood has been providing solutions that enhance the lives of individuals with limb loss since 1907. The company’s recent rebranding marks a new chapter in its history, emphasizing its commitment to innovation. Strategic partnerships and acquisitions have further strengthened WillowWood’s position as a leader in prosthetic technology.

These partnerships allow WillowWood to expand its product offerings and reach, driving growth and innovation. Collaborations with leading medical and technological firms have boosted WillowWood’s R&D capabilities, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of prosthetic advancements.

Additionally, strategic acquisitions have expanded WillowWood’s market presence and capabilities, enhancing its ability to serve the needs of amputees globally.

Investments in WillowWood’s facilities have improved operational efficiency and created a superior workplace environment. One of the most exciting developments is the construction of a new onsite Research and Experience Center. This 5,000-square-foot center, set to be completed in August, will focus specifically on improving outcomes for amputees.

The center will be dedicated to advancing prosthetic technology through rigorous research and development, aiming to set new standards in prosthetic care. Out of WillowWood’s 95,000 square foot building, this addition will provide a space for amputees to engage with the latest prosthetic technologies, offering hands-on experiences that inform product development and improve user satisfaction.

With all these exciting milestones, WillowWood is set for a future of sustained growth and innovation. The upcoming completion of the Research and Experience Center marks a significant turning point in the company’s mission to improve the lives of amputees.

As WillowWood celebrates over 120 years in business, its commitment to innovation, economic development, and community engagement ensures that it will remain a vital part of Pickaway County’s future.
