Bill Shepler, longtime Mackinac Island ferry service leader, dies at 92
William “Bill” Shepler, a longtime leader of Mackinac Island ferry service Shepler’s, has died. He was 92. Shepler’s posted news of his death on Facebook Thursday. “Bill’s dedication and passion for connecting people to the beauty of Mackinac Island created unforgettable memories for countless guests,” the post said. “His legacy of service, leadership, and community spirit will forever be a part of our lives. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Shepler family and friends during this difficult time.”
