Meet the Interns: Abiquiu Garden Project
New and familiar faces joined forces for the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum’s 11th annual Abiquiú Garden Project. Under the guidance of Agapita (Pita) Lopez, Projects Director of Abiquiú Historic Properties, Project Coordinators Josephine Dominguez, a former garden project intern herself, and Randy Garcia helmed the yearly undertaking of planting, tending to, and harvesting the beloved garden filled with the favorite foods of Georgia O’Keeffe. This year, three interns returned with two first-time interns who combined their experience and new ideas for a successful growing season.

Albuquerque's homeless crisis amid housing shortages, rising rent
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Video above: New Mexico's Homeless Coalition point-in-time count report shows an increase in homelessness over a three-year span in Albuquerque. The point-in-time count report reveals 1,152 people experienced homelessness in 2021 compared to 1,311 in 2022—a 13.8% increase from the year before. In 2023, the report revealed 2,394 people experienced homelessness, which more than doubled its original numbers with an 83% increase from 2022. 2024's report is not available.
