Where Clemson ranks in ESPN’s updated college football 2025 recruiting class rankings
Dabo Swinney and the Clemson football program have had an interesting 2025 recruiting cycle. It’s not a bad thing, as Clemson as done a great job with their recent recruiting classes. The most recent 2023 class was one of the top performing freshman classes in the country. It’s just not...
Revisiting the 1939-40 football season and Clemson’s first bowl game
The past decade has arguably been the best stretch in Clemson football history. Since 2011, the Tigers have gone only one season without double-digit wins, which happened in 2023. For seemingly forever, the ACC's ritual preseason media functions were ritually more collegial, gentlemanly and understated than those of conferences elsewhere. Vastly different times call for vastly different measures. Last week, national college football writer Brett McMurphy reported that Florida State's swashbuckling ways haven't exactly helped the school burnish its potential attractiveness to potential destinations (namely the Big 10 and SEC). That's a theme we've been conveying for quite some time, though of course stopping short of conveying certainty about where FSU might or might not end up. Clemson's more buttoned-up, professional...
