South Carolina adds freshmen walk-ons to official roster
The official roster on South Carolina's website was recently updated, and it includes the names of several freshmen, who have joined the team as walk-ons. A majority of the freshmen walk-ons are from the state of South Carolina, but the Gamecocks have added players from North Carolina, Virginia and Texas. All have reported to campus and are with the team for summer workouts.

The South Carolina National Weather Service (SC NWS) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) warns Fourth of July beach goers to use caution when celebrating at the beach. Updating 19 Greenville city projects: What’s happening, what’s next
Here are status updates on several of the city of Greenville’s facility, recreation and trail projects. Mayberry Field: Construction of Mayberry Field at Unity Park will begin in the fall of 2024. The $3.2 million project is expected to be completed by spring of 2025. The Little League-regulation baseball field will include a grandstand, press box, dugouts and other amenities. Designs for the project are still being finalized.
