Thomas Peck sent his machine into the spin-cycle off turn two to bring out the opening event’s lone caution on lap 9 with Terry Pearce taking his first win of the season in the first feature he’s finished in 2024 followed by Ryan Foster and a hard-charging Dean Switser, Jr. on the podium.

Middlebury man arrested for DUI, resisting arrest
MIDDLEBURY — A local man was arrested early Thursday morning after Vermont State Police conducted a traffic stop and suspected him of driving under the influence. Andrew R. Malzac, 31, of Middlebury, was pulled over on Weybridge Street near College Street at 12:50 a.m. Troopers detected signs of impairment during their interaction with Malzac.
