Welcome to Yankee Chronicle. I’m your host Abby Peel. Today we are back here at the Spring Ledge Farm in New London where, in addition to their fine harvested products, they also offer high-quality hard goods, products from other local farmers and makers, fresh local dairy and eggs, as well as potting soil, compost, and fertilizers to make sure your plants have a great start. We’ll hear more about their efforts here and their outreach to the community. Pam Bryk and Cheryl Fogwill will make their annual invitation to Newbury’s Old Home Day. We’ll preview this year’s edition of Arts in the Harbor. And David Goddard, commodore of the Lake Sunapee Yacht Club will give us his thoughts about fireworks on our lakes.
Walker named May Laker of the Month
Inter-Lakes Middle/High School sophomore David Walker was named the May Laker of the Month. Walker is polite, smart, hardworking and a wonderful athlete. He works hard to meet his academic and athletic goals and is a role model for those around him. He is very creative and loves to create digital media where he has won awards for this work. Walker worked hard and found recognition in sports regionally.
