Puerto Rican Day parade, festival still slated for Oakwood Park on Saturday
LORAIN — Lorain’s Puerto Rican Day festival and parade will continue this Saturday despite storm damage to Oakwood Park. An Aug. 6 storm tore through south Lorain, and left more than 100 trees damaged or uprooted in the park. But the damage will not dampen plans for a celebration of Puerto Rican culture on Saturday.
