Work to begin on new Health Dept. Building in Winslow
During Monday’s Pike County Commissioner’s meeting, Public Health Nurse, Amy Gladdish, of the Pike County Health Department, presented a number of estimates for a new HVAC system at the future Winslow Health Department site. After a discussion of the various companies offers, the Commissioner’s voted unanimously to go with Messmer Mechanical to do the project. Gladdish stated that Messmer’s gave the lowest bids with multiple options and lives down the road from the future location and has the courthouse contract. Messmer’s will be moving old units and installing new, reconnecting to the existing duct, electrical and refrigeration systems, installing new programmable thermostats, and possibly install low ambient kits on a/c units which are used to operate in colder outdoor temperatures. Gladdish is hoping to move the Health Department to the new location by this Fall.
