Remsen St. Mary’s Softball drops consolation matchup with No. 2 Wayne
The Remsen St. Mary’s softball team ended their season in a consolation matchup at the state tournament with a loss to No. 2 Wayne by a score of 8-1 on Wednesday afternoon. The Hawks gave up a couple of big innings early on to the tune of two Wayne runs in the first and six Wayne runs in the third. Remsen St. Mary’s head coach Monte Harpenau says he knew that the Falcons were capable of big innings.

Food-insecure individuals and families in Wayne County along with surrounding communities will be able to benefit from the monthly food pantry truck which is scheduled to be in town this weekend. PENDER, Neb. (KCAU) – Pender girls basketball standout Maya Dolliver announced her commitment to continue her basketball career at the University of Sioux Falls. Dolliver has been a key piece to the Pendragons’ back-to-back state championships in Nebraska, leading the team in scoring at 13.9 points per game as a junior.

Aging infrastructure has become a growing concern at many Norfolk Public Schools, potentially translating into more dollars needed for building renovations. According to Nejla Muminovic of the Norfolk Daily News, associate superintendent of business services Erik Wilson presented an update on facilities district wide, saying some building infrastructure, dehumidification systems and HVAC machines are in need of facelifts.
