Lucas Bradshaw cycling way to greatness in his sport. MAIDEN––Even at his young age, he’s cycling his way to greatness in the sport of motocross. He’s rising second-grader Lucas Bradshaw, and at just 7 years old, he’s already making quite the name for himself on the motocross circuit, according to proud parents Joseph and Tiffany Bradshaw of Maiden. As Mrs. Bradshaw told The Herald this week, her son is soon headed off to the National Motocross Championship, July 29-Aug. 3. Young Bradshaw is among the country’s top 40 riders in his class.
Man killed in Smyth County motorcycle crash
SMYTH COUNTY, Va. (WCYB) — A man was killed in a motorcycle crash that happened on Sunday afternoon in Smyth County, according to Virginia State Police. Police said the crash happened on Interstate 81 southbound at mile marker 48. Authorities said the driver, 36-year-old Carl Coe, of Hillsville, Virginia, went off the left side of the interstate. The motorcycle then struck a guardrail.
