Dallas Under Excessive Heat Warning; Heat Index May Reach 111 Degrees as North Texas Braces for Sweltering Week
The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued an Excessive Heat Warning that remains in effect until 9 PM CDT Sunday for portions of north central and northeast Texas, including the Dallas area, where the heat index values could soar as high as 111 degrees. Carrollton Library to host beginning watercolor instruction

$107M TWU Health Sciences Building Eyeing Q3 ’25 Opening
Texas Woman’s University topped off its future health sciences facility, placing the highest beam in place signifying its peak height. In September 2023, Texas Woman’s broke ground on a $107 million, 136,000 square-foot health sciences center in Denton to serve as an inter-professional education facility linking students in the allied health fields with an emphasis on preparing them to serve in rural settings.
