ADEQ: Drinking water not threatened by gasoline released from Circle K
CHINO VALLEY, Ariz. — Drinking water in the Chino Valley area does not appear to be threatened by a fuel release reported by Circle K earlier this year. An estimated 86,000 gallons of unleaded gasoline was reportedly released into the environment from a Circle K underground storage tank in Chino Valley. The release occurred over a period of about 18 days and was caused by a faulty component of the submersible turbine pump.
Glendale among cities receiving housing vouchers for youths exiting foster care
The latest round of vouchers from the Department of Housing and Urban Development to help reduce homelessness among young people involved with child welfare services are out. Housing agencies in 19 states will receive over $3 million worth of assistance through the 2019 Foster Youth to Independence Initiative, and Glendale is one of them.
