Wildfire haze clouds skies on otherwise hot, sunny days in Gillette
GILLETTE, Wyo. — Haze from neighboring wildfires is making for a murky-looking morning in Gillette on what will become a hot summer day. The National Weather Service in Rapid City, South Dakota, has forecast a high of 92 with increasing clouds as a low chance for storms creeps into the forecast for this afternoon. Winds will come from the south at 6–8 mph, then turn to come from the northeast in the afternoon. Gusts could reach 17 mph.
Sheridan College Innovation Center Almost Ready For Fall Semester 2024 Classes
Sheridan College is almost finished remodeling a building that will soon be used for its advanced manufacturing and advanced sciences division. Back in 2019, the Seven Pillars Foundation gifted the college a 25-thousand square foot building, located on the southeast corner of Heartland Drive and Solutions Way, which is on the other side of I-90 from the college campus.
