Columbia Falls' Azzy Lara is second in the bareback riding average with a total score of 149, trailing Texas cowboy Kash Loyd at 152.5. Cazier as an associate coach for the South Girls Basketball Team and Christiansen as a player on the South Volleyball Team. Cheyenne Frontier Days Unveils Plans For New American Indian Village
Cheyenne Frontier Days Officials unveiled plans for the new Morningstar American Indian Village on Friday. The new village is slated to open in 2026 near the CFD Old West Museum. Renee Middleton, Executive Director of the Cheyenne Frontier Days Foundation, told Townsquare Media the goal is to have the new facility open in time for Frontier Days 2026, which will be the Year of the Native American at CFD. Middleton said the new facility is made possible in large part by a grant from the Hughes Foundation. She added that Frontier Days officials will raise additional money for the village's educational component. Middleton said the total final cost of the village is "still up in the air right now. But I can tell you right now it's already over $10 million."
Rainfall possible over weekend in Cheyenne
CHEYENNE, Wyo. — The Cheyenne area may see some scattered showers throughout the coming days, according to forecasts from the National Weather Service in Cheyenne. Today will start with a slight 20% chance of showers, which the NWS in Cheyenne says could turn into thunderstorms later in the morning. As the day progresses, the 20% chance will grow into a 50% probability. The day should remain mostly sunny, with a high temperature near 81 degrees.

Widespread haze possible over coming days
CASPER, Wyo. — Casper-area residents may be in store for quite a hazy weekend, according to projected forecasts by the National Weather Service in Riverton. Today, Natrona County is expected to see widespread haze prior to 5 p.m. Temperatures should reach a high of roughly 86 degrees in the afternoon, the NWS in Riverton reports. Meanwhile, light to moderate winds of 5–15 mph can be expected throughout the day.
