Pottsville Pizzeria Celebrates 75 Years of Tradition This Saturday
This Saturday, Pottsville Pizzeria will celebrate its 75th anniversary. The pizzeria has been serving the community with its classic pizzas and subs since the summer of 1949. The story of Pottsville Pizzeria began when Mrs. Paparazo and her three sons opened the first pizzeria in the area in the basement of their home at 441 Prospect St. The business quickly grew, leading to a move in September 1953 to a more convenient location at 530 N. Centre St. This relocation allowined for the development and expansion of their product offerings. It was here that the concept of unbaked pizzas for home baking was born, eventually evolving into the famous Packaged and Frozen Pizzas.
Demolition Underway on Williams Gym
Demolition is underway on the Williams Township School gymnasium. The building will be replaced with a new, larger facility with additional learning space and flexibility for other programs. The gym was reportedly built in the 1950s, and has required major repairs in recent years.
Stuff’D Steaks opens new Dauphin County location; replaces Phillip Arthur’s Cafe
HERSHEY, Pa. (WHTM) — The popular cheesesteak and hoagie eatery Stuff’D Steaks has officially opened its new brick-and-mortar Hershey storefront. abc27 news reported back in April when the locally popular Stuff’D Steaks announced that they would be closing their Lebanon County location, and relocating to a new space in the heart of Hershey.
