On Tuesday, July 16th, thirteen NCHSAA Student-Athlete Advisory Council Members (SAAC) presented to over 40 NC Athletic Directors at the 2024 NC Coaches Clinic held at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex. Drowning at Emerald Isle claims life of 29-year-old woman
Emerald Isle, NC — A 29-year-old woman passed away from a drowning incident at Emerald Isle on Thursday, July 25, according to the town officials. Emergency services responded to a water rescue incident in the area of 1500 Ocean Drive around 4:15pm. Due to multiple ongoing incidents Indian Beach crews also responded. Officials say crews located two victims and a bystander around 50 to 60 feet in the water from the shore. Emergency personnel brought both victims and the bystander back to land.

A US titanium company is choosing Fayetteville as the home of its new manufacturing facility. Lowes Foods parent shuttering 3 stores
Alex Lee Retail, the parent company of Lowes Foods and Kj’s Market, plans to shutter three stores by the end of August, according to a Tuesday press release.
