Eloise Marceaux named ‘Louisiana Miss Fitness’

Beauregard Parish has the top two female athletes in the state, according to the Louisiana Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports.

Eloise Marceaux and Miley McManus competed against girls from across the state during a meet at Pineville High School. The students competed in curl ups, shuttle run, pull ups, standing long jump, 50 yard dash, and the 600 meter run.

Winners are determined by a point system in each event based on the performance of the students.

Marceaux was named “Louisiana Miss Fitness” for receiving the top honors in the competition. She also received second place in the shuttle run and second place in the standing long jump.

McManus received the second place spot overall in the state and also placed third in the standing long jump.
