PINEY FLATS, Tenn. (WJHL) — Popular food truck Alley Kat has opened its first brick-and-mortar store in Piney Flats.

Co-owner Angie Brooks said it was time to move from a food truck to a physical store.

“We were sitting downtown, we were outgrowing the food truck, and it was just time to move,” Brooks said. “We had [too many] customers coming to the food truck versus what we could serve out of the truck. So this made perfect sense. We live in Piney Flats. It’s a long drive for us to downtown, so we’re excited to bring it home.”

Alley Kat’s menu will remain the same, serving wings, phillies and fries. Brooks said they hope to expand the menu in the future.

The store is located at 5661 Hwy 11-E, Suite 5, in the Piney Place shopping center. It’s open Thursday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
