Water levels rising in ESPA by significant levels
An update on the water volume changes in eastern Idaho shows increased levels in the past year and gains over the last 10 years. According to a release from The Idaho Water Resource Board, the Eastern Snake Plain Aquifer (ESPA), had a net gain of 800,000 acre-feet of water from the spring of 2023 to the spring of 2024 and 500,000 acre-feet since 2014.

Fugitive wanted for stalking arrested by marshals in Rupert neighborhood
RUPERT — The U.S. Marshal Service Greater Idaho Fugitive Task Force located and arrested Austin Allen Genius pursuant to a felony arrest warrant issued on May 9 for two counts of first degree stalking issued by the 3rd Judicial District Court in Canyon County and for a parole violation issued by the Idaho Department of Correction stemming from a previous criminal conviction for stalking in 2021.
