    PISCATAWAY, NJ -- Join General George Washington, the Marquis de Lafayette, and Baron von Steuben for this annual celebration featuring a reenactment of the fue de joie (fire of joy) that took place on July 4, 1778.

    The event will be Thursday, July 4, 2024, at 11 a.m., at East Jersey Old Town Village (1050 River Road, Piscataway, NJ). For more information, call 732-745-3030 or email history@co.middlesex.nj.us .
