Travis Scott announces one-off North American stadium show, additional international dates
The record-breaking tour will return to the northeast this fall. Internationally acclaimed superstar Travis Scott has announced he is bringing his Circus Maximus Tour to Latin America, Australia, and New Zealand this fall with stadium shows in Buenos Aires, Rio De Janeiro, Mexico City, Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland and more. Additionally, he will be returning to North America for a special one-night-only stadium show in East Rutherford, New Jersey at MetLife Stadium on Wednesday, October 9th.

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS Executive Director Tom Viola Will Step Down at the End of 2024
The AIDS crisis that began to emerge in the early 1980s clearly indicated the Broadway community was in dire peril. Two organizations emerged to help during the devastation, becoming the nonprofit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA). In 1988, Tom Viola (himself an HIV-positive survivor) took the helm as BC/EFA executive director. Under his leadership, the organization grew exponentially. Now, after 36 years, Viola is stepping down at the end of 2024.

The American Academy of Arts and Letters Is Debuting a New Arts Program in Washington Heights
Established in 1898, the American Academy of Arts and Letters has nurtured and promoted the arts and artists for more than 125 years. Now the honor society has announced its plans to engage with art more deeply by keeping the doors of its Beaux Arts-style galleries in Washington Heights open to the public year-round. As of September, the newly renovated Audubon Terrace complex buildings, which have 10,000 square feet of exhibition space, will host solo exhibitions, interdisciplinary events and original commissions by contemporary artists in conversation with the venue’s historical architecture. This new curatorial program will be led by Jenny Jaskey, backed by a committee of Arts and Letters artist members that includes artists such as Mel Chin, Charles Gaines, Ann Hamilton, Joan Jonas and Amy Sillman.

Man found shot dead inside car in New Jersey; investigation ongoing: PCPO
An investigation into the death of a man found in a car with a gunshot wound to his head is ongoing in Paterson, New Jersey, local authorities said. In a joint statement, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia Valdes and Clifton Police Chief Thomas Rinaldi said that the Clifton Police Department received a call at around 12:19 a.m. on Saturday reporting that shots were fired in the area of Lakeview Avenue and Merselis Avenue.

CLIFTON — A truck explosion obliterated a sound barrier along Route 3 and melted the siding of a house Monday morning.
