Branch Books now open in Cullman
CULLMAN, Ala. – A family owned bookstore opened a second location, Branch Books, in Cullman this summer. Branch Books Owners Robert and Cheryl Kahlstorf opened their first location, in Hartselle, five years ago. Alabama DC Kane Wommack updates the status of transfer DL after missing two practices
Alabama football fans had some concerns after a defensive lineman missed the first two practices of fall camp. LT Overton, a transfer from Texas A&M, is expected to contribute across the front. The 6-foot-5, 265-pounder was one of the marquee recruits in the Aggies’ top-ranked 2022 signing class. Olympian Reita Clanton of Opelika assistant coach for inaugural team
OPELIKA — While Reita Clanton didn’t have the opportunity to participate in organized sports growing up in Opelika, and never heard of team handball until she was 22 years old, she was part of the 1984 USA Women’s Olympic Handball Team. She was also an Olympic coach in 1996 for the USA Women’s Handball team. Currently, Clanton is an assistant coach for the inaugural USA Team Handball Wheelchair National Team, which was formed in Auburn this summer, with Dr. Ford Dyke as the head coach.
