Fourth TSA checkpoint line opens at Asheville Regional Airport to shorten wait times
ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Asheville Regional Airport has reported that it is screening a record number of passengers during the busy summer travel season. To help with the influx of passengers and longer wait times, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) added a fourth line to its security checkpoint. According to a news release, the new line is using computed tomography (CT), a state-of-the-art scanner that allows passengers to keep their laptops, tablets and liquids inside their bag.

Asheville police investigating after 15 bullet holes found at home on Griffing Boulevard
ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — An investigation is underway after Asheville police say 15 bullets struck a home on Griffing Boulevard in Asheville. The Asheville Police Department responded to a report of property damage on July 25 at a residence on Griffing Boulevard. According to a news release, the resident reported damage from bullet holes to the front of the residence.
