350 cyclists to tour Southwest Colorado starting August 19th
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) - The Colorado Department of Transportation and the Colorado State Patrol are giving motorists a heads-up about a five-day bicycle event. Beginning on Monday, Aug. 19th, in Durango approximately 350 bicyclists will ride along several highways and county roads between Durango, Silverton, Pagosa Springs, and Wolf Creek Pass. The event will take place over five days, August 19th- August 23rd, and will begin at 7:30 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. each day.

Suit: Pot farm broke 20-year lease, owes $20 million
Pitkin County’s first and and the Roaring Fork Valley’s largest legally operated marijuana farm might have sprouted its last bud. Aspen-based Silverpeak Corp. earlier this summer shut down its 4.7-acre marijuana farm and cultivation facility outside of Basalt, owing its landlord more than $20 million in rent after abandoning the property less than two years into a long-term lease agreement.
