A man and woman were charged with illicit possession of firearms and other crimes after a search of a home in southern Pitt County near Vanceboro.
The Pitt County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called about 7:20 p.m. on June 30 to assist probation and parole officers in the search of a parolee’s home at 9590 N.C. 43 South near the Craven County line. Three firearms were found during the search including one that had been reported stolen to the Greenville Police Department.
Over four grams of cocaine and a digital scale also were seized, the sheriff’s office said.
