Another loggerhead sea turtle, Mudpie, also had fishhooks removed successfully by Dr. John Thomason and his team. These efforts, part of the Global Center for Aquatic Health and Food Security, provide essential rehabilitation and hands-on experience for veterinary students. Both turtles are undergoing further rehabilitation before potential release to ensure they can survive in the wild.
