    Water treatment plant bonds sold, Pittsboro water main contract approved

    On Tuesday, the Sanford Council approved a contract for an expansion of the water main in Pittsboro and staff announced that the bonds for a new joint water treatment facility have been sold.

    In regard to the latter, Assistant City Manager Beth Kelly said that $71 million worth of bonds were recently sold for the joint venture with Fuquay-Varina and Holly Springs.
