The Steelers overhauled their quarterback room this offseason.

LISTEN: Crowley explains how the Steelers can sign Dak

Kenny Pickett was traded. Mason Rudolph and Mitch Trubisky signed elsewhere.

Enter Russell Wilson and Justin Fields.

Barring anything unexpected, Wilson will get the first opportunity to show he still has what it takes to be an elite quarterback in the NFL.

If the Wilson and Fields experiments doesn't work, could the Steelers make another splash at QB and sign Dak Prescott?

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler is the latest to speculate that the Cowboys QB could be in black and gold in 2025 if he doesn’t stay in silver and blue.

Fowler made the comments during a recent appearance on ESPN’s “This is Football” podcast.

His comments follow Rich Eisen’s from a few months ago. He said he could see the Steelers and Dak being a good fit for each other.

“I’m thinking of Pittsburgh,” said Fowler, pointing out that Wilson is on a one-year deal and the Steelers declined Fields’ 5 th -year option.

Fowler added that maybe Prescott could be the “long-term answer” for Pittsburgh.

Fan Morning Show co-host Adam Crowley says it’s not as crazy as a move as it sounds given the way Steelers General Manager Omar Khan has operated.

Dorin Dickerson doesn’t believe it and tells Crowley he thinks there’s a better chance of the team re-signing Kenny Pickett.

Prescott signed a 4-year, $160 million extension with the Cowboys in 2021.

This season, Prescott’s contract delivers a $55.4 million cap to Dallas.

The 30-year-old let the league in touchdowns last season with 36 and completions with 410.

If Prescott does become a free agent, the Steelers won’t be the only team interested. That means the cost for him will likely be sky high.
