Union Electric Steel Corp., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ampco-Pittsburgh Corp., was recently selected to supply the initial provisioning of rolls for two projects under construction.

The first project is for Ternium Mexico S.A. de C.V. – Pesqueria, a North American steel producer. Roll deliveries are expected to begin during the first half of 2025 and be valued at approximately $6.7 million.

The second project is for a European original equipment manufacturer mill builder. Rolls will be delivered during the first half of 2025 and be valued at approximately $5 million.

“The roll contract wins underscore Union Electric’s commitment to providing high quality rolls to the global steel and aluminum markets, while solidifying our position as a key player in these markets,” Brett McBrayer, Ampco-Pittsburgh CEO, said. “In Air and Liquid Processing, we saw strong order activity in multiple markets including both the Pharmaceutical and U.S. Military markets. The investments we have made to strengthen our sales force and increase our manufacturing capacity have allowed us to substantially increase our presence in the markets we serve.”

Ampco-Pittsburgh manufactures highly engineered, high-performance specialty metal products and customized equipment.

Union Electric Steel manufactures forged and cast rolls, open-die forged products, aluminum and plastic extrusion industries, and air and liquid processing equipment.
