    Window washers rescued from scaffolding stuck on side of Downtown Pittsburgh skyscraper

    Window washers were rescued from the side of a skyscraper in Downtown Pittsburgh Friday.

    Rescue crews were called to the 500 block of Ross Street at 11:35 a.m.

    Two window washers were stuck on scaffolding between the seventh and eighth floors of the BNY Mellon Building. They were brought up to the top of the building and rescued.

    The rescue was completed in around an hour, Pittsburgh Public Safety officials said.
