    Report: Steelers reunite with former Pittsburgh linebacker

    PITTSBURGH, Pa. (WKBN) – ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that the Pittsburgh Steelers have signed veteran linebacker Tyler Matakevich to a one-year free agent contract.

    Matakevich was originally a seventh-round selection by the Steelers back in the 2016 NFL Draft. He played in Pittsburgh from 2016-19.

    He spent the past four seasons in Buffalo, after signing with the Bills as a free agent in 2020.

    For his career, Matakevich has appeared in 129 career games in the NFL, piling up 132 total tackles, four forced fumbles, and one interception.
