Aaron Donald on Steelers legend Casey Hampton: ‘Nobody did it better’

For years, we have been banging the drum for the Pittsburgh Steelers to find the next Casey Hampton . But we know just looking at a physical type isn’t going to cut it. What Hampton did for the Steelers defense was unique for a nose tackle of his size. As pure nose tackles go, a case can be made there’s never been a better one.

Former NFL tackle Aaron Donald talked to Ryan Clark on “The Pivot” podcast and he just gushed about how good Hampton was. Coming from one of the best defensive players of all time, it’s high praise indeed.

“You got Big Casey Hampton one of the biggest guys. Super quick though you know what I’m saying? Facemask on his face he was so quick. Nobody did it better. Nobody. And I don’t understand why people don’t talk about that guy enough.”

Hampton played 12 seasons with the Steelers and started 164 games.
