After an electric Friday night , the anticipation for Saturday's practice carried over, but the weather in Latrobe had other plans.

First delayed by lightning, the team finally kicked things off after clearing the field, but only helmets were worn.

There were still plenty of takeaways from Saturday however, including answers to questions about one of the team's superstars and his lack of recent participation.

    Injury Update

    • LG Isaac Seumalo with a veteran rest day (Alex Kozora on X)
    • LB Patrick Queen day off (Alan Saunders on X) turned his ankle late on Friday but it seems to be precautionary
    • TE Darnell Washington with a brace on his left arm (Nick Farabaugh on X)
    • LB Kyron Johnson remains out with a hamstring but was working off to the side (Alan Saunders on X)
    • EDGE Jeremiah Moon not seen warming up (Alex Kozora on X)
    • CB Grayland Arnold is also not seen (Alex Kozora on X)
    • DL Dean Lowry (PUP) seen jogging (Nick Farabaugh on X)
    • RB-Returner Cordarrelle Patterson works off to the side (NFI) (Alan Saunders on X)
    • WR Roman Wilson remains out with an Ankle injury (Nick Farabaugh on X)
    • QB Russell Wilson remains limited with a calf injury (Nick Farabaugh on X)
    • S Minkah Fitzpatrick doesn’t participate in team period for 3rd straight day (Mike DeFabo on X)
    • DL Cam Heyward Veteran Day Off (Mike DeFabo on X)

The biggest concern here is Minkah Fitzpatrick, with Patrick Queen as the secondary one. For Fitzpatrick, it could be that Coach Tomlin is just having him take things easy, especially in such bad weather, but not practicing with the team for three days in a row is certainly concerning, especially in light of the turnout on Friday night .

Queen was injured towards the end of Friday's practice, but it didn't seem to be anything of real significance and likely was just a turned ankle.

After practice, coach Tomlin updated the media, saying that Minkah Fitzpatrick has been limited to individual drills so the team could receive looks from other players.

That could very well be true, but his involvement still bears monitoring nonetheless.

    Fields Continues To Stay Hot

A day after he and George Pickens hooked up throughout multiple team periods , it was WR #2 Van Jefferson who saw favor from Fields on Saturday. Processing faster, looking sharp with his mechanics, and making tight window throws throughout the past two days, Fields is on a heater after a slow start last week .

With Russell Wilson still limited to throwing in only seven on seven and individual, the longer Fields plays like this, the harder it's going to be to pull him from the first team lineup, pole position be darned.

    Saturday Standout: P Cameron Johnston

Johnston was one of the winners during Week 1 , and he followed that up on Saturday as the main feature during special teams period. Steelers fans just want stability at the position, but Johnston's ability to punt the ball 50+ yards and hold it in the air for over 5.0 seconds is a plus.
