Tornado Warnings Around the Tri-Counties Illinois
A Radar indicated tornado warning has been issued for parts of Rock Island, Mercer, Whiteside and Henry Counties. The warning is currently from the Quad Cities to Atkinson but the warning is expected to extend southeast. VERY strong winds have been confirmed with these storms. Funnel clouds have been spotted but any possible spin-up may be rain-wrapped. Stay alert and keep a device with you to stay up-to-date with warnings. Quincy Police Department warns about phone scam during which caller pretends to be police chief
QUINCY — The Quincy Police Department says a recent phone scam involves someone pretending to be Adam Yates, chief of the police department. A press release from QPD says the scam consists of a phone call from someone posing as the chief of police advising the person on the phone of a pending arrest warrant(s) and the seizure of assets that would take place without compliance. The caller seeks personal information and money.
