Middlesex stabbing suspect arrested in South Burlington after assaulting homeowner with knife
South Burlington, VT- A Montpelier man who matches the description of a man wanted in connection to a stabbing in Middlesex was arrested in South Burlington on Monday. Police say Shannon Edwards, 39, evaded police by stealing a pick-up truck, and then breaking into a home and holding the homeowner hostage at knifepoint. He is facing multiple charges, including for aggravated assault, unlawful restraint and kidnapping.

About 4,000 people came to enjoy the youth-powered circus troupe across a three-night run starting July 2, its second-ever time in town. Almost all six shows sold out, and venue owner John Farr already plans to host the circus again in 2025.

Death of man found in Lake Champlain not believed suspicious, police say
BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found floating in Lake Champlain but say they do not believe it is suspicious. Snowmobilers look to rehab flood-battered bridge over the Winooski
Barely a month after a carefully planned, technical operation to remove a tree caught in the span since the July and December 2023 floods, two more logs are now jammed into the structure and debris covers the deck.
