Man crushed to death at Jackson factory
JACKSON COUNTY, MI – A Jackson man is dead after a heavy die cast being moved broke free and fell on him. The die setter, 36, was using a crane to lift the heavy cast at 8:02 a.m. Monday, July 15, at Dexter Stamping, 1013 Thorrez Road, in Sandstone Township when the swivel bolt holding the die broke loose, according to the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
