NASCAR Driver Sage Karam reflects on fatherhood
LONG POND, Pa. — Sage Karam, raced in the Craftsman truck series last Friday at Pocono Raceway and it was a bit more special than his last time here. Karam was joined by his family, including his 6 week old son, Jettson, on pit road ahead of the race.
Over 150 Bikes Being Given Away to Kids at Big Diamond Speedway on Friday Night
Over 150 bikes will be given away Friday Night by the Getz family to kids attending Big Diamond Speedway races. It will be “Topless” night this Friday, July 19th at Big Diamond Speedway. That’s right, the Quandel Concrete Modifieds will be going topless racing 30 laps for a $7,000 first place prize. Not to be left out, the Uss Achey, Inc 602 Crate Sportsman will also be Topless and racing in a 20-lap feature for some extra cash with $1,200 going to the winner on Dukmen Enterprises Night. Rounding out the big racing card will be the Red White and Blue Autos Roadrunners along with the return of the Big Creek Concrete Rookies who will also go topless.
East Stroudsburg math teacher accused of recording fiancée's daughters in bathroom
A man employed by East Stroudsburg Area School District is accused of recording his fiancée's two minor daughters in the bathroom without their knowledge. John Swineford, of East Stroudsburg, was charged in May with endangering the welfare of children, invasion of privacy, tampering with or fabricating physical evidence and possessing instruments of a crime.

WILKES-BARRE — Boozy B’s, a popular alcohol infused ice cream shop downtown, announced Tuesday that it will be closing its doors on Aug. 24. Pittston Area softball team honored at school board meeting

The team’s 2024 season ended with a loss in extra innings to Thomas Jefferson in the PIAA Class 5A state championship game. The program’s success over the past half-decade, under the leadership of Frank Parente, has won the Lady Patriots much praise in the Pittston Area community. The school board can now be added to that list of admirers.
