    Man accused of attempting to rape 19-year-old on Upper East Side, police say

    UPPER EAST SIDE, Manhattan (PIX11) — A man is accused of attempting to rape a 19-year-old woman on the Upper East Side on Saturday, according to police.

    The woman was walking near East 90th Street and East End Avenue. Police said a man walked up to her, pushed her to the ground, and tried to rape her around 1 a.m. The man then ran away on foot, headed west on 90th Street.

    Police said the victim was taken to the hospital to be treated for her injuries.
