When is the first day of fall in 2024?

NEW YORK, N.Y. (PIX11) — With the weather finally cooling down it feels like the dog days of summer are coming to an end but when will fall actually roll around?

Experts at the Farmer’s Almanac are predicting a crisp and rainy fall with the start of the equinox on Sunday, Sep. 22.

October is projected to have twice as many cloudy and rainy days as opposed to its historically sunny, dry days. Forecasters say we’ll likely have a very unsettled Halloween.

Looking all the way ahead to winter, the Farmer’s Almanac says we may have a wet and white one in store with moderate temperatures.
