Chance to play games from popular Netflix series ‘Squid Game’ coming to NYC

NEW YORK (PIX11)—This October, New Yorkers will have the opportunity to test their skills in several games from the popular Netflix show “Squid Game.”

Squid Game: The Experience is coming to The Manhattan Mall and aims to recreate the high-stakes games from the series.

“Fans and thrill-seekers alike are invited to step into the immersive Squid Game: The Experience and face the on-screen challenges in person, including the iconic Red Light Green Light under the watchful eye of Young-hee,” read a statement from Netflix. ‘Front Man himself will dare the brave players, testing their skills and strategy in heart-pounding games inspired by the series. But watch out for some brand new challenging surprises along the way.”

The immersive experience will allow groups of 24 players to compete and accumulate points during the challenges. The player with the most points will be declared the victor of Squid Games.

Players will have their photo taken and be branded with a number. They will then be challenged with a series of games, such as a game of marbles, red light, green light, and even be invited to drinks and food after, just like in the popular series, a video posted to YouTube shows .

Tickets for the event are available for purchase, and the operating hours can be found here . A Squid Market offering Korean snacks and a Squid Mart where players can purchase collectibles from the experience will also be open.

“Squid Games” season two Debuts on Netflix on Dec. 26.
