    Suspect arrested in fatal shooting outside senior housing building in Harlem: police

    HARLEM, Manhattan (PIX11) – A suspect has been arrested for allegedly shooting and killing a man outside a senior housing building in Harlem last month, police said Tuesday.

    Mohamed Sawaneh, 21, of the Bronx, is charged with murder in connection with the death of 37-year-old Jeremy Cummings on July 2, according to the NYPD.

    Cummings was fatally shot in his back outside Wyatt Tee Walker Senior Housing at West 118th Street and Frederick Douglass Boulevard, police said.

    Sawaneh was also charged with robbery, criminal possession of a firearm, and leaving the scene of an incident, police said.
