    Man allegedly chokes victims unconscious, robs them in NYC: police

    MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) – Multiple people have been choked unconscious and robbed in a series of muggings in New York City this summer, police said Tuesday.

    The NYPD released surveillance images of the suspect wanted in connection with three different robberies that occurred in Manhattan between June and August.

    The first robbery happened at 147 Christopher St. in the West Village around 3:30 a.m. on June 15, according to the NYPD.

    The suspect allegedly approached a 29-year-old man from behind, put the victim in a chokehold until he was unconscious, then stole his watch, police said.

    The second robbery happened at 42 Morton St. in the West Village around 2:40 a.m. on July 14, according to police.

    The suspect allegedly approached a 27-year-old man from behind, put the victim in a chokehold until he was unconscious, then stole his Rolex watch, police said.

    The 27-year-old victim suffered minor injuries but wasn’t hospitalized, authorities said.

    The most recent robbery happened at the 14th Street/Sixth Avenue subway station around 1 a.m. on Aug. 9, according to police.

    The suspect allegedly approached a 26-year-old man from behind, put the victim in a chokehold until he was unconscious, then stole his Rolex watch, police said.

    The 26-year-old victim said he was in pain after the incident and was taken to a hospital, authorities said.

    The suspect fled after all three robberies and hasn’t been caught, police said.
