    Man’s body discovered floating in Brooklyn waters: NYPD

    BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – A body was found floating in waters near Pier 12 in Brooklyn Sunday afternoon, according to the NYPD.

    Police responded to a 911 call at 1:49 p.m. The caller reported seeing a man floating in the water near Van Brunt Street and King Street.

    Police pulled an unconscious male, believed to be in his 30s, from the water. EMS was called and pronounced the male dead, authorities said.

    The office of the Chief Medical Examiner of the City of New York will determine the cause of death. The identification of the male is pending family notification.

    Other details were not made available.

    An investigation remains ongoing, police said.
