Affordable housing lottery opens near Yankee Stadium

THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) — A new affordable housing lottery has opened for units in a newly constructed six-story building in the Bronx.

The lottery is for 285 East 163rd Street Apartments, a few blocks from Yankee Stadium.

The building has 35 available units, including one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. Some of the building’s amenities include a shared laundry room, high-end kitchen appliances, and air-conditioning.

There are no deposits or application fees. The building is also expected to receive a Tax Exemption through the 421a Tax Incentive program of the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development.

The property is listed on the NYC Housing Connect website, an online portal where people can find and apply for affordable housing opportunities in New York City.

Applications for the 285 East 163rd Street Apartments will remain open until October 21. The eligible income range is $103,200 – $218,010.
