    I-80 closed in New Jersey after crash, fuel spill

    NEW JERSEY (PIX11) — A crash and fuel spill caused significant traffic delays on I-80 in New Jersey on Monday, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation.

    The crash and spill were reported around 2:13 p.m. on the westbound I-80 near Exit 53 in Wayne Township, according to the department. Three right lanes of westbound I-80 were closed west of Exit 53, but reopened as of Tuesday morning.

    The eastbound lanes also reopened.

    The New Jersey DOT warned drivers of significant delays as the evening rush hour commute began.
