    Woman shot in the Bronx; pronounced dead but regains pulse, officials say

    MORRISANIA, the Bronx (PIX11) — A woman was shot in the Bronx on Thursday, according to police.

    The 35-year-old woman was shot in the back around 5 p.m. by 1397 Franklin Ave., according to police.

    The woman was pronounced dead by first responders on the way to the hospital but regained a pulse and is in critical condition, according to officials.

    Additional information on a suspect or what led to the shooting was not immediately available.
